About Us
A message from our founder, Brenda Pearson.
Change in education does not occur easily. We have focused on building bridges and breaking down silos through assembling community partners from across Nevada who are vested in our children's futures. Microcredentials are a way to support our educators who support our students.
Community partners from all over our state are moving towards a common goal of equity in educational excellence. In order to meet this goal, we need to build structures and processes to support educator learning, just as we do for children's' learning.

We are faced with an unprecedented challenge that has been brought on by disparity in equity and economics, to prepare our children in ways we have never done before.

The Nevada Collaboratory is the vehicle by which we will move towards our common goal. We understand the promise of our educational community, and seek to collectively take action to better our children's futures.
Support The
Children
There are approximately 18,800 educators and licensed professionals within the Clark County School District poised to guide and support our children’s paths towards their future.
Educational research is clear: to positively impact teacher practices and student learning, educators must participate in professional learning that is focused on practice, knowledge based, ongoing, and chosen to meet an educator's individual needs. The Nevada Collaboratory has designed unique professional learning opportunities that match the characteristics recommended by educational research.
