Our micro-credentials series is the new exciting thing that has come to CCEA. Many of you probably have questions, so let me give you a little breakdown.
We have three stacks that are currently offered to our members: the Leadership stack, Stakeholders stack, and Data stack. Each stack is made up of three or four micro-credentials, which all serve a purpose for each stack. In total, we have ten micro-credentials available to members of CCEA.
For each micro-credential you successfully complete, you will earn 5 CU’s. Remember I mentioned that there are 10 Micro-credentials? This means you can earn 50 CU’s total! We all know CU’s work towards salary advancement, but you know how else these micro-credentials can benefit you? Relicensure! That’s right!
What is even more exciting about our micro-credentials is that you can earn them all online in the comfort of your home (or wherever you’d like). No need to drag yourself to a physical location to earn CU’s anymore. Let me tell you a little bit about how these online micro-credentials work-you basically choose which stack you want to start with and work your way through each Micro-credential. You receive a certificate for each one you complete! If you feel that you would be more successful working in a team, guess what? You can!
There is also room for mistakes. Let’s say you weren’t so successful in completing all the requirements to be awarded your Micro-credential you can always resubmit. Our assessors will provide feedback so that you can improve and revise your submission.
Micro-credentials are a great new thing that has come to CCEA! The greatest thing is that any micro-credential is free for the first 50 members that complete them.
